Melissa put our Botany Card to the test, she tells us that it has a great thickness and texture, a good ‘kraft’ colour and that it cuts smoothly with a trimmer.
Copic Colouring Test

Products used in this test
Ink Used for Image: MFT Extreme Black
Ink Used for Sentiment: Versafine Clair Nocturne
Medium used for Colouring: Copic Markers
Other Products Used: Shimmer Pen & Glossy Accents
Thoughts after the test
- Stamped well with both inks and dried well for colouring.
- Coloured well with the Copic Markers without bleeding.
- The Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents slightly warped the card, however this is hardly noticeable.
Ink Blending through Stencil Test

Products used in this test
First Ink Used: Hero Arts, Hero Hues Unicorn White
Other: Ink Used: Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
Other Products Used: Blending Brush
First, Melissa blended the white ink onto the card and heat set it, then she Ink blended the Oxide ink over the top.
Thoughts after the test
- This technique on this card gives a little ‘rustic’ effect.
- Both inks seem to soak into the card a little, however it did turn out great for a more subtle effect.
