Melissa, one of our dedicated product testers, put our 100% Cotton Ivory Card through its paces. She tells us that the card has a great thickness, a great colour that isn’t too yellow and there’s a great feel to the card, it also cuts smoothly with a trimmer.

Copic Colouring Test

Products used for this test

Ink Used for Image: MFT Extreme Black
Ink Used for Sentiment:  Versafine Clair Nocturne
Medium used for Colouring:  Copic Markers
Other Products Used:  Shimmer Pen & Glossy Accents

Thoughts after the test

  • The MFT ink bleds slightly on the card.
  • Copic Markers were very hard to blend.
  • Copic Markers bled past the stamped image.
  • The Versafine Clair ink did not dry quickly on this card and smudged a lot.
  • The Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents did not warp this card.
  • Overall, I find this card not good for Copic Colouring.

Ink Blending through Stencil

Products used for this test

Ink Used:  Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
Other Products Used:  Blending Brush

Thoughts after the test

  • The Distress Oxide ink blended very well onto the card.
  • The colour is vibrant.

Ink Blending then spritzed with water

Products used for this test

Ink Used:  Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
Other Products Used:  Blending Brush, Water Spritz Bottle

Thoughts after the test

  • Ink blending on this card was easy and worked well.
  • When spritzed with water, it held the water on top with minimal soaking in. I was able to remove the excess with a cloth to give the splattered effect.
  • No warping once dry.
