Melissa put our Smooth White 250gsm Card to the test. She discovered that is has a great thickness, a nice, bright white colour, a smooth finish and it cuts smoothly with a trimmer. Melissa highly recommends this card as a cheaper alternative for Copic Colouring.

  • Ink blended really well through the stencil onto the card.

Ink Blending then spritzed with water

Products used in this test

Ink Used:  Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
Other Products Used:  Blending Brush, Water Spritz Bottle

Thoughts after the test

  • The colour is vibrant and seems to sit on the card but does not smudge off.
  • When spritzed with the water, the water pooled on top of the card and was lifted easily with a cloth.
  • Gave great effect easily.
  • Did not warp.

A finished card

To complete this card, Melissa ink blended a background with various Distress Oxide Inks then heat set it to make sure it was dry. She then then applied Hero Arts, Hero Hues Unicorn White Ink through a stencil and heat set it again. As she wanted a Bokeh effect, she did this several times. Melissa then went on to finish the card as a ‘no edge’ shaker card. Smooth White card was also used to cut the sentiment on the Cricut Joy.

The Smooth White card held really well with no warping during the making of this card, considering all the heating it got and the card also cut really well on the Cricut Joy.
