Yes, we print!

We have a beautiful, new, Konica Minolta printer and for a long time we’ve only accepted trade clients doing big print runs, but we’ve decided that it’s time to share the love.

You’ll get exceptional quality using the latest digital print technology and we promise it’ll look way better than what your ink jet at home can do!

Unfortunately, at the moment we are only printing for customers who can come into our warehouse to check a print proof in person. We know that’s a bit annoying if you’re not in Sydney, but we want to make sure you’ve confirmed that it looks right before we commit to printing the whole job.

So, how does it work?

We only print on papers from our range because we know exactly how they work with our machine. If you don’t already know which paper you’d like to print on, don’t worry, we can guide you to the perfect choice to make your finished project look spectacular. Pop into our warehouse, send through your files and we’ll print a proof. When you’re happy with how it looks, we’ll print your whole job and trim it to the right size if necessary.

What we can print

We keep it simple – black and white or colour printing, straight line cutting (so that means rectangles and squares only), laminating and folding.
We can’t print in white, do embossing, foiling or cut shapes.

What does it cost?

The price of the paper you choose plus 20c per black and white print or 45c per colour copy.

How to make your file print ready

(this is really important because we won’t make changes to your file and if it’s not set up right, you’re probably not going to be happy with the result)

✅ Spell check and proofread

Once you’re happy with your design, have a friend read through and make sure there’s no typos, because once it’s printed, it’s a little tricky to change.

✅ Image resolution

Pay attention to your image sizes and aim for at least 300 dpi (dots-per-inch). Any less than that, or if you stretch an image beyond its real size, you’ll have a blurry or pixelated final print.

✅ File size

Make sure that your document is the same size as the final print, for example if it’s going to be A4, it needs to have the dimensions 210 x 297mm. We won’t resize your file because it risks altering the design.

✅ File type

Always send your file as a print-ready PDF and if given the option, use CMYK.

✅ Bleed

If you have images or text that touch the edge of the page or a background, you need to allow at least 3mm of bleed. That means that your content needs to extend over the edge of the page so that we can cut away the extra, leaving the finished product the way you designed it. Without that, we’ll have to make do and you’ll be left either with an unprinted border or the edge of your design cut away. If you’re designing in Canva, you can easily add bleed (and crop marks) by ticking the option when you download a PDF Print file.

✅ Crop marks

They’re little marks in the corners to show your printer where to cut. They’re essential if your design has bleed or if it’s a non-standard size.
