Melissa tested out our Buffalo Kraft in 283gsm, a beautiful brown kraft card with a unique, two sided finish. Here are her overall thoughts on this card:

  • Great thickness and texture
  • Cuts smoothly with trimmer
  • For me the colour of the card is a little too brown (for a different kraft colour, check out Botany)
  • I used a low tack tape on the card to write some notes and found that it tore easily when trying to remove the tape

Copic Colouring Test

Products used in this test

Ink Used for Image: MFT Extreme Black
Ink Used for Sentiment: Versafine Clair Nocturne
Medium used for Colouring: Copic Markers
Other Products Used: Shimmer Pen & Glossy Accents

Thoughts after the test

  • This MFT Ink bled slightly on this card.  However once coloured it can’t be seen.
  • The Versafine Clair Ink dried well on this card.
  • It was hard to colour with Copic Markers on this card.  It was hard to blend.
  • The Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents did not warp this card at all.

Ink Blending through Stencil Test

Products used in this test

First Ink Used: Hero Arts, Hero  Hues Unicorn White
Other Ink Used: Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers
Other Products Used: Blending Brush

Thoughts after the test

First, I blended the white ink onto the card and heat set it, I then Ink blended the Oxide ink over the top.
This technique on this card gives a great effect. The colours seem to sit on top of the card and are more vibrant than the Botany card.
